I’m someone who enjoys exploring new places, learning how things work, experimenting with technology, and turning ideas into projects.
That curiosity can take me in a lot of different directions. One weekend I might be exploring a trail, attraction, or unique experience. Another day I might be working on home automation, testing new technology, planning a Halloween project, or learning something completely new.

There isn’t just one subject that defines what I’m interested in. Most of what I share falls into three areas.

I enjoy discovering interesting places and experiences—from trails and outdoor destinations to attractions, aviation, theme parks, and places that are just a little different from the ordinary.
Whenever possible, I like sharing what the experience was actually like and what I learned along the way.

Technology & Projects
Technology has always been another outlet for my curiosity. I enjoy experimenting with smart-home automation, networking, computers, gadgets, AI, and other tools that can make everyday life more useful or interesting.
For me, the fun is often in figuring out how everything works together.

Halloween gives me an opportunity to combine technology, creativity, lighting, storytelling, and problem-solving.
Through Knotted Woods Productions, I enjoy creating family-friendly spooky experiences and experimenting with new ideas for displays, lighting, props, and atmosphere.
Why I Share It
Why I Share It
A big part of exploring something new is being able to share the experience afterward.
That’s one reason I started putting more of my adventures on YouTube and expanding the stories here on the website. Sometimes a video is the best way to experience a place, while a blog post gives me room to share more details, photos, observations, and things that didn’t make it into the video.
My goal isn’t to pretend to have all the answers. I simply want to share what I experience, what I learn, and the interesting things I find along the way.

Outside of the adventures and projects you see here, family is an important part of my life. Many of the best experiences are simply opportunities to spend time together, explore somewhere new, or create a memory along the way.
I’m also a lifelong learner. I’m usually researching something, experimenting with a new idea, trying a new piece of technology, or thinking about the next project.
That variety is part of what makes this site fun for me. I don’t expect every adventure or project to fit neatly into one category—and that’s okay. There is always something new to discover.
